Plymouth, MN (January 10, 2017) – Travel Leaders of Tomorrow, the joint initiative between Travel Leaders Group and select travel industry partners to attract new talent into the travel agency community, has now expanded its offerings to accommodate “Independent Learners.” For the last three years, Travel Leaders of Tomorrow has provided travel agent training through its award-winning Virtual Campus model – where participants submit an application and interview with the program director before beginning classes. Virtual Campus students meet weekly with an instructor-led study cohort, participate in weekly online and in-person discussions and study sessions, and at the end of the course, present a business or career plan for their future as a travel agent. Now, in addition to the Virtual Campus program, participants who have less time or a smaller budget can sign up for the new on-demand, Independent Learner program.

“Our Virtual Campus program has been a resounding success, with participants really enjoying the study groups and opportunities for support from instructors and their peers, yet we also get the occasional request for a faster and less expensive course,” said Heather Kindred, Director of Travel Leaders of Tomorrow. “Our new Travel Leaders of Tomorrow Independent Learner program will allow individuals access to the online lessons and quizzes without the time or financial commitment of our Virtual Campus program. The Independent Learner program provides the basics they need, with the flexibility they want, at an affordable price.”

Participants can purchase the Independent Learner program without an admissions interview. All of the high-quality eLearn lessons are included, as well as quizzes for the aspiring travel agents to test their understanding and retention of the courses. Travel Leaders of Tomorrow instructors are available via email for guidance, and one coaching session is included. Independent Learners can move at their own pace, and the courses are available to them for six months.

The entire Independent Learner program is being offered by Travel Leaders of Tomorrow for $495, with discounts offered to those that are referred by a Travel Leaders Group agency, Students have the option to buy textbooks and take the Travel Agent Proficiency (TAP) test for an additional fee.

“The Independent Learner program incorporates the core content of Travel Leaders of Tomorrow’s premium program and is a good choice for independent, self-motivated learners who have time and budget constraints” Kindred commented. “‘Travel agent’ is one of the fastest-growing career paths today, attracting people who love travel, and by expanding our offerings to also include the Independent Learner training program we are able to provide an additional flexible option to help individuals follow their passion and realize their career goals.”

At any time, qualifying participants in the Independent Learner program can upgrade to Travel Leaders of Tomorrow’s flagship Virtual Campus program and be placed in the next study cohort. Their Independent Learner tuition will be applied toward the Virtual Campus tuition. Independent Learner registration is available at www.travelleadersoftomorrow.com/programs/.
