Geraci, a travel agency veteran, became a fixture at Prestige Travel / Travel Leaders after a 2008 merger with another travel agency. He has worked primarily as a corporate travel advisor, but recently his role at the company expanded to include Director of IT Services.
Dave Hershberger, owner of Prestige Travel / Travel Leaders and current Chair of ASTA – the American Society of Travel Advisors, concurred about Geraci’s ability to not only “do it all,” but to do it all so very well.
“In addition to Mike handling our mid-office setup and operation, he also developed an automated hotel attachment function that has increased our corporate hotel bookings from about 40 percent back in 2016 to over 60 percent currently,” said Hershberger. “In his spare time, Mike also manages agent desktop issues, trouble-shooting and backup accounting work. He is our go-to guy when any Prestige Travel employee has any computer software issue, virtual or on site. He can remotely help our at home agents fix any problems they may have.”
Although Geraci focuses on the corporate travel management arm of the business, he also dabbles in the vacation travel world. In March 2019, he completed his 50th trip to Hawaii and with the help of his Agent Profile on TravelLeaders.com promoting his master specialist status from the Oahu Visitors Bureau, he converts Hawaii leads to sales with an amazing closing ratio.
He also earned his Certified Travel Counselors (CTC) certificate in 2006 and his Certified Business Travel Consultant (CBTC) in 2012. He has an undergraduate business degree from the University of San Diego and will complete his MBA at Xavier University in the fall of 2019. When not working or studying, Geraci enjoys time with one-year-old granddaughter.
