Global Travel Collection Debuts its Path Forward Plan to Deliver Added Consulting and Support Services to its Advisors

February 16, 2023

With this Path Forward plan which will unfold throughout the year, we’re looking to create an environment for our advisors that is both proactive in support and engagement, and progressive in the tools and value we provide them every day,” continued Licea. “With our leadership team focused on this mission and positioned in the new account management structure, we look forward to rolling out the enhanced support initiatives that are part of this Path Forward. I believe creating this environment is critical for our advisors to truly be able to thrive, especially in the tumultuous travel market of today. This is our vision statement, and the path to lead us into the future.

Long-term success path for travel advisors features new proactive management structure, enhanced services, business growth opportunities and strategic supplier engagement.

Global Travel Collection (GTC), the world’s most influential collection of international travel agencies, today announced a new direction to lead the company through the ever-changing travel landscape. The Path Forward is an internal and external organizational change, an innovation that will foster a progressive and nimble business environment designed to propel Global Travel Collection and its advisors into the future.

Global Travel Collection, a division of Internova Travel Group, is comprised of highly experienced travel advisors who bring significant knowledge of all travel sectors to deliver flawless execution of customized travel programs. The group services luxury leisure, entertainment, production and corporate clients. Travel brands that are part of the Collection include Protravel International, Tzell Travel Group, Colletts Travel, Andrew Harper, In The Know Experiences, All Star Travel Group and R. Crusoe & Son.

For the Collection’s community of travel advisors, as well as its valued suppliers, The Path Forward will introduce a broader account management structure, additional technology solutions, enhanced business development tools, additional support solutions to address the growing administrative burden on advisors and a wide range of training programs. While details of the plan are proprietary, the organization believes this will create a unified culture. It will drive maximum growth potential for advisors and successional planning for those who seek it, while offering career progression for its valued employees and more productive partnerships to increase revenue opportunities with valued suppliers. The new design will be fully implemented by Q3 of this year.

“The last three years were unlike any others in the history of this industry, and this gave us a unique opportunity to reinvent ourselves and our business,” said Angie Licea, President, Global Travel Collection. “The Path Forward was developed and evolved during those uncertain times.”

Creating an Advisor Success engine and core culture is a key focus of this new organizational structure. The primary functions of the Advisor Success teams are to cultivate more sales opportunities, increase advisor engagement, recruitment, retention and portfolio growth. This is based on a portfolio management system. Smaller groups of advisors will be guided by a dedicated manager, a true advocate for each individual business who will be tailoring resources based on specialized services across all advisor verticals, corporate, leisure, entertainment and production, allowing for support and consultation by business specialization.

For recruitment and new entrants, a new onboarding plan is in place offering an ideal setting to build more relationships and make use of business marketing services.

Advisor Success initiatives will also include enhanced Business Consultation services. In the summer of 2022, Global Travel Collection launched three programs to assist advisors in analyzing business portfolios. This was wildly successful in helping advisors who were looking to become more innovative in managing their business and identified opportunities for advisors wanting to diversify and increase their growth potential. Included in this consultation will also be enhanced advisor sunset programs for those looking to enter the next phase in their lives. Not only does this allow for a successful exit strategy, it creates a seamless transition for the advisor’s book of business and supports those advisors looking to grow their business.

This Path Forward will offer a revamped benefit suite for top producing advisors. Enhanced programming and value services will include tailored incentive trips, rewards, tiered support servicing desk, media training, credits toward paid serving support, and more benefits still in the planning process.

Fostering more valuable partnerships will also be a large element of The Path Forward by taking a more targeted approach to supplier engagement within the organization. To increase selling potential and assist in developing meaningful partnerships between the supplier and advisor, a targeted identifying process is in place to connect advisors with client portfolios best aligned with the preferred partner to supplier product — across all sectors, hotel, cruise, air and destinations.

Providing advisors with exclusive benefits is yet another vital component of The Path Forward, providing a competitive advantage for GTC advisors and preferred partners. This year, Global Travel Collection introduced its new consumer-driven website, and coming up in April is the launch of OLTRE. 100,000 clients of GTC advisors will receive the new magazine. This offers a meaningful way for the advisors to inspire and stay connected with their top leisure and corporate clients. The company looks forward to being able to share more in the months to come.

“With this Path Forward plan which will unfold throughout the year, we’re looking to create an environment for our advisors that is both proactive in support and engagement, and progressive in the tools and value we provide them every day,” continued Licea. “With our leadership team focused on this mission and positioned in the new account management structure, we look forward to rolling out the enhanced support initiatives that are part of this Path Forward. I believe creating this environment is critical for our advisors to truly be able to thrive, especially in the tumultuous travel market of today. This is our vision statement, and the path to lead us into the future.”
