When I joined GTC, I quickly recognized an opportunity to bring stronger alignment across our data and platforms. We knew that by unifying our systems through AI, we could not only streamline our workflows but elevate the advisor experience and enhance the exceptional service we deliver to clients.

New platform built on Microsoft Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio streamlines operations and enhances productivity for luxury travel advisors
NEW YORK (June 02, 2025) – Global Travel Collection (GTC), the most influential collection of international luxury travel agencies, today announced the launch of Atlas, a groundbreaking AI-powered platform set to redefine how elite travel advisors plan complex, bespoke itineraries. Developed in partnership with Microsoft using Azure AI Foundry and Copilot Studio, Atlas is projected to reclaim more than 1.5 million hours annually across GTC’s network of more than 1,500 luxury travel advisors.
Representing the most sophisticated community of travel experts in the world, GTC advisors serve high-end leisure, corporate and entertainment clients. These advisors often build and manage intricate itineraries across fragmented systems, a time-consuming task that Atlas is purpose-built to simplify.
“When I joined GTC, I quickly recognized an opportunity to bring stronger alignment across our data and platforms,” said Casey Soto, Senior Director of Product Management at Global Travel Collection. “We knew that by unifying our systems through AI, we could not only streamline our workflows but elevate the advisor experience and enhance the exceptional service we deliver to clients.”
The result is Atlas, a secure, scalable generative AI platform that offers real-time, natural language access to a wide range of travel content. By integrating airline, hotel, entertainment and corporate travel systems into a single AI interface, Atlas enables advisors to obtain context-rich answers in seconds, significantly speeding up the trip planning process.
Soto’s team selected Azure AI Foundry for its governance, scalability and secure AI orchestration capabilities. Combined with Copilot Studio, the platform provides an intuitive, low-code environment where advisors can interact with AI using conversational language.
“Security is paramount as we manage sensitive traveler data around the world,” added Mark Munley, SVP and CIO at Global Travel Collection. “The Microsoft ecosystem provides the enterprise-grade security and compliance we need, including built-in GDPR and PCI support, giving us confidence to scale.”
Atlas is already delivering results, reducing trip planning time by up to three hours per itinerary. Longtime GTC advisor David Waldes shared, “What used to take 10 to 15 minutes per query now takes seconds. Atlas spiders through our systems and delivers insights instantly.”
Looking ahead, GTC is exploring new ways to capitalize on Atlas, including monetization opportunities such as featuring preferred partners directly within the platform.
“This is just the beginning,” said Angie Licea, President of Global Travel Collection. “Atlas proves that AI can empower, not replace, human expertise. It enhances what makes luxury travel exceptional: the personalized, thoughtful service only an experienced advisor can provide.”
