Top luxury advisors from across Internova Travel Group’s agency brands come together with select global travel partners for an intimate meeting of the minds
NEW YORK (January 23, 2024) – For the second consecutive year, Internova Travel Group, one of the largest travel services companies in the world, brought back its Internova PLUS event, which has become one of the most sought-after gatherings of luxury travel advisors and partners in the industry.
The newly opened Pendry Newport Beach, in Newport Beach, California, hosted the multiday meeting January 16-19. The elite group of 125 powerhouse luxury travel advisors was carefully selected from each of Internova’s brands, including ALTOUR, Global Travel Collection, Nexion Travel Group, Travel Leaders Network and CTS of Mexico City. Advisors were chosen based on their production, growth potential and accomplishments. Collectively, they represent more than $500 million in luxury travel bookings. In addition, 125 partners from across the travel industry were invited to participate.
With a theme this year of “Find Your Place,” Internova PLUS was designed to push the boundaries of traditional events with sophisticated, innovative programming that provides a range of experiences in which advisors and partners can meet, share knowledge and forge new relationships as they work to better serve their clients and explore what’s ahead for luxury travel in 2024.
“You never know when a conversation will spark a collaboration between a travel advisor and partner,” said Albert Herrera, Internova’s Executive Vice President, Partner Relations. “It could come during a planned networking session, at a cocktail party or while participating in an activity together away from the conference site. Internova PLUS gives participants myriad ways to connect ‘beyond the ballroom’ – and wherever it happens, the client is the beneficiary.”
Day 1 started at the afternoon registration lounge, where attendees sipped Champagne and created their own signature fragrance. A cozy evening poolside reception hosted by Montage brought together old friends and new in a chic but casual setting.
Day 2 began with a candid conversation between Internova Travel Group CEO J.D. O’Hara and Herrera, who discussed Internova’s plans for the future and what excites them about the year ahead. Next, small groups of advisors and partners took on critical industry topics and best practices in focused Think Tank sessions, followed by an al fresco lunch, networking appointments and personal, family-style dinners at venues throughout the Pendry.
Day 3 saw a morning of networking meetings, an outdoor lunch under a brilliant blue sky and an afternoon of immersive local experiences ranging from whale-watching, canoeing, museum outings, private shopping, artisan tours and volunteer charitable opportunities. The event wrapped up with the Celebration Plus closing gala and a late-night after-party at the Pendry’s members-only private club.
“Montage and Internova share similar values,” said Alan Fuerstman, Founder, Chairman and CEO of Montage International. “Internova PLUS epitomizes our shared passion to do things right, and we were so proud to host the group at Pendry Newport Beach.”
Herrera revealed that the next Internova PLUS event will be held at the Vinoy Resort & Golf Club in St. Petersburg, Florida, January 27-30, 2025. Internova Marketplace, one-day focused networking events, will be held on three dates throughout 2024 in the U.S. and U.K.
“Internova events harness the power of our advisors and agencies,” said Herrera. “You cannot meet such a prestigious mix of advisors across our brands anywhere else.”
