Riyadh to AlUla: Experiencing Saudi Arabia’s Tourism & Business Infrastructure
The program began in Riyadh and Diriyah, where the group experienced the warm hospitality of Bab Samhan and Fairmont partners. They explored the capital’s blend of heritage and modern development, including visits to the historic landmarks, and meetings with Saudi tourism officials to gain insight into Saudi’s long-term tourism, aviation and events strategy under Vision 2030.
The delegation then travelled to AlUla, a rapidly emerging luxury cultural destination and home to multiple UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Experiences included the stunning and exclusive Our Habitas hospitality and facilities, guided tours of AlUla Old Town and the Al Jadidah Arts District, a visit to the iconic Elephant Rock sandstone formation and exclusive access to the ancient Nabataean city of Hegra, renowned for its monumental rock-cut tombs and archaeological significance.
Together, the programme allowed participants to experience Saudi Arabia as a business-ready, premium leisure, corporate and MICE destination, supported by expanding air connectivity, hospitality development and government-backed tourism investment.
