Albert M. Herrera has an innate understanding of the luxury travel market and his impressive career spans more than 30 years. His knowledge of the upscale travel business is unparalleled, and his unrivaled passion for travel and enviable roster of industry contacts built through the years make him one of the most respected figures in travel.

 

He currently serves as Executive Vice President, Partner Relations at Internova Travel Group, where he leads various strategic relationships and partnerships to maximize offerings to the organization’s premium leisure, corporate and entertainment travel advisors and travelers.

Mr. Herrera joined Internova from Virtuoso, where he held one of the most prominent executive positions: Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships. Over his 17 years at Virtuoso, he directed key relationships with the network’s product portfolio and elite advisor membership.

 

His expertise includes creating sales and marketing strategies, identifying key market segments, recruiting and training strong sales and marketing teams, and increasing the customer base for travel providers of all sizes and in varying markets.

 

Mr. Herrera’s past roles also include a senior position at The Carlyle, where he joined as Director of Sales & Marketing after Rosewood Hotels & Resorts acquired ownership. He previously led Rosewood’s New York office. Previous to that, Albert’s other roles included Sales & Marketing Director at The Oriental, as well as Director of Sales at The Regent, both in Singapore.

 

Mr. Herrera currently serves on the board of directors of IGLTA, International LGBTQ+ Travel Association. He is also a member of Forbes Travel Guide’s Strategy Committee and the IHG Global Luxury Advisory Board.
