We designed our first Cruise Sales Summit to be the ultimate experience for travel advisors looking to increase their business.

The event, held in Cocoa Beach, Florida, gave participants a chance to meet suppliers, learn business strategies and network with colleagues
IRVING, TX (May 19, 2025) – Nexion Travel Group, the travel industry’s premier full-service host agency in North America, held its inaugural Cruise Sales Summit earlier this month, giving travel advisors the tools, knowledge and connections they need to grow their businesses.
The event, which took place May 7-10 at the Hilton Cocoa Beach Oceanfront in Cocoa Beach, Florida, attracted nearly 50 Nexion travel advisors from the United States and Canada. Some were already booking cruises while others were looking to expand their expertise in this booming travel segment.
Participants attended education sessions on the business of selling cruises including strategies to enhance sales, marketing and the client experience; gained insights from top cruise supplier partners and Nexion experts; enjoyed exclusive ship inspections and hotel visits; and had a chance to network with travel advisor colleagues. There were special presentations from the Cruise Lines International Association and Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism.
“We designed our first Cruise Sales Summit to be the ultimate experience for travel advisors looking to increase their business,” said Jackie Friedman, President, Nexion Travel Group, a division of Internova Travel Group, one of the world’s largest travel services companies. “The summit is part of our commitment to give our travel advisors every advantage in the marketplace. The more information they have and connections they make, the better they can serve their clients and be successful.”
“The Cruise Sales Summit went above and beyond!” said Nexion member advisor Cristin Wallace of Create Travel Memories in Wilton, CT. “In addition to ship inspections and hearing from cruise line BDMs, value adds included hotel site visits, private networking in tourist spots and learning from tourism offices and travel insurance.”
“It was a valuable experience for building a supportive network and expanding my knowledge with Nexion, CLIA and our cruise line partners,” added member advisor Elizabeth Lucas from Serenova Cruise Vacations & Travel in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
“As a newer advisor at Nexion, I absolutely loved the training—informative, engaging and incredibly valuable,” said Mary Hawthorne from Journeys with Mary, an affiliate of Promal Vacations LLC in Long Beach, NY. “The networking was amazing. It was great connecting with so many passionate professionals.”
“What an incredible Cruise Sales Summit 2025,” said member advisor Brian R. Patt, Patt Cruises, LLC in Treasure Island, Fla. “I’m grateful for the heart, soul, warmth and expertise the Nexion team poured into making it special. Totally worth the time, money and energy.”
“I wholeheartedly recommend the Cruise Sales Summit to fellow Nexion members,” said Ally Santoro of Galia Travel in Naples, Fla. “It offers invaluable product knowledge, meaningful industry connections and new avenues for business growth. Ship inspections, resort visits and educational sessions make it a comprehensive learning experience. It’s a professional investment with significant returns.”
