IRVING, TX October 2, 2018) – Nexion Travel Group, the leading host agency for travel professionals, recently announced its Rising Star and Agents Connecting Together (ACT) Mentor Recognition award winners. The Rising Star award recognizes a member who represents the best and brightest in the travel industry while the ACT Mentor Recognition award honors those who have devoted exceptional time and effort toward mentoring newer travel professionals. This year’s winners are:
Vincent began selling travel for the first time in May 2017 and, over the last several quarters, has already achieved six figure sales. Vincent also received a 2018 Gateway to Excellence honor from Nexion.
Vincent was nominated for the Rising Star Award by Martin Mussey, Business Coach at Nexion Travel Group, who worked with Vincent to help build her business. “Brandi never let her lack of experience get her down but rather used it to fuel her growth,” said Mussey. “She is a voracious learner and is always sharpening her sales skills. Her sales totals are truly impressive for a travel advisor at any stage of their career but especially for a newcomer. Brandi is based in San Angelo, Texas, which has a population of 100,000. It’s not a major market, which makes it especially impressive that she has, in a short time, become a go to travel resource in her community and beyond.”
Caplan is an experienced Nexion member whose agency, Link Up With Linda, provides travel services for a variety of vacations, including cruise, land packages, escorted tours and special interest travel. She chose to participate in Nexion’s ACT Mentor program to share her knowledge and give back to the travel industry. As a mentor, she has acted as a trusted counselor to her mentees and helped them set a foundation for success at Nexion Travel Group.
“Linda has been a big asset to the ACT Mentor program,” said Caroline Belgrave, the Business Development and Education Manager at Nexion Travel Group who coordinates the program. “She truly gives of herself. As a successful travel advisor, she has numerous demands on her schedule but somehow always finds time to check in with and advise her mentees. She is willing to act as the backup agent for their clients if they have an emergency and helps her newer Nexion mentees avoid the pitfalls that come with owning your own travel agency. I speak on behalf of Nexion and her mentees when I say we are so grateful for all she does as a mentor.”
Vincent and Caplan received their awards during CoNexion, Nexion Travel Group’s annual conference, held this year on board Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas.
