The Golden Legacy Award recognizes outstanding professionalism and commitment both to Travel Leaders Network and to the travel industry. It honors an Associate whose career achievements best exemplify the entrepreneurial spirit and highest quality standards of the franchise system.

The award was presented at Travel Leaders Network’s annual EDGE conference, which took place June 12-15 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort in Aurora, Colorado.

The conference brought together travel advisors and industry partners including airlines, cruise lines, hotels and resorts and tour companies. Participating travel advisors were able to gain insight from industry leaders, network with colleagues and choose from more than a hundred classes.

Butruff has nearly three decades of experience in the travel industry and has owned her own agency since 1999. “It has been a whirlwind of fun,” she said.

“I am honored to receive this recognition,” she added. “I love my job each and every day, and look forward to what my future in this business will bring.”

Butruff often travels with family and friends. Her favorite experiences include girlfriend getaways, river cruises, Hawaii — she’s visited all of the islands many times — and all things Disney.

She’s also a destination expert for Hawaii and Europe and her passion lies in river cruising. Butruff recently developed an expertise in selling travel to Saudi Arabia. She provides high-touch, onsite service to her corporate incentive clients, bringing them her many years of expertise in facilitating activities for group travel.

Butruff is a member and former president of the Rotary Club of Farmington in Minnesota and has worked with the Apple Valley and Dakota County Chambers of Commerce, and recently won the 2021 Woman Business of the Year Award from the Dakota County Regional Chamber of Commerce. In 2019, Galaxy Travel was awarded the Apple Valley Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year.
