Annual New York City event connects destination partners with one of the world’s largest travel services companies and the advisors influencing today’s most valuable travel decisions
NEW YORK (March 19, 2026) – As travelers increasingly rely on trusted advisors to plan complex and high-value trips, more than 30 leading tourism boards gathered in New York City on March 17 -18 for Internova Travel Group’s FOCUS 2026, an exclusive event designed to strengthen connections between destination partners and the advisors shaping today’s travel decisions.
Held at Internova’s headquarters, FOCUS 2026 gave tourism boards and travel brands meaningful exposure to Internova’s global network of more than 100,000 travel advisors across corporate, premium and luxury travel. The event showed how partners can engage this network strategically to drive visitation, strengthen market presence and deliver measurable business results.
“Internova sits at the center of a powerful global travel ecosystem,” said CEO J.D. O’Hara. “Our scale, combined with the strength of our advisor relationships, helps our partners reach travelers who are actively planning and booking. FOCUS is about turning those connections into real business growth.”
Over two days, attendees engaged with Internova’s senior leadership and top-performing advisors, gaining practical insight into how to work effectively with the advisor community. Sessions covered the growing influence of travel advisors, the role of AI in trip planning and partner success stories that illustrated how collaboration with Internova translates into bookings.
Participants also explored Internova’s full portfolio—including ALTOUR, Global Travel Collection, Nexion Travel Group, Travel Leaders Network and The Vacation Group—showcasing how a single partnership with Internova opens the door to multiple opportunities to reach diverse traveler segments.
A key highlight of FOCUS 2026 was the Destination Showcase, where select tourism boards met one-on-one with Global Travel Collection advisors in an intimate setting. These meetings provided valuable face time with advisors who regularly plan and book high-spend travel.
“Switzerland has long recognized the power of the travel advisor community, and our relationship with Internova puts us at the forefront of that group,” said Oliver Weibel, Head of Trade Relations North America, Switzerland Tourism. “Advisors are trusted experts for their clients, and partnering with an organization that has the reach and resources of Internova is essential to how we grow awareness in North America of Switzerland as a world-class destination. Events like FOCUS are vital to connect Switzerland to the travel advisor sales channel.”
As competition for travelers intensifies, FOCUS 2026 reinforced the importance of strong advisor relationships in influencing where, how and why people travel. For destination partners, Internova offers not just scale, but a trusted pathway to engage the advisors who play a key role in where and how people travel every day.
