Travel Leaders Network Named top “Consortia Partner of the Year” by Norwegian Cruise Line
New York, NY (February 5, 2019) — Travel Leaders Network recently received an honor from cruise partner Norwegian Cruise Line, which named the retail travel agency brand as its “U.S. Consortia Partner of the Year” for 2018. This is the second year in the row that NCL has bestowed this award on Travel Leaders Network.
I’m proud of this recognition and I am confident that our members will continue to take advantage of the tools and resources Norwegian makes available to them so that they can market the products effectively.
-Roger E. Block, CTC, president of Travel Leaders Network
“Our supplier partner relationships are integral to our success as one of North America’s largest retail travel agency brands and to be recognized for a second year in a row by Norwegian Cruise Line is a true honor, as well as a testament to the continued commitment our member agencies and headquarters staff have to our cruise partners,” said Roger E. Block, CTC, president of Travel Leaders Network. “I’m proud of this recognition and I am confident that our members will continue to take advantage of the tools and resources Norwegian makes available to them so that they can market the products effectively.”
Some Norwegian partnership opportunities in 2018 included:
Seminar at Sea onboard the Norwegian Escape – a weeklong educational experience for member agents who were looking to become a Certified Group Travel Specialist
“Free at Sea” offer of a free shore excursion on NCL, free specialty dining, free wifi, free sailing for friends and family and a chance for free airfrare.
Inaugural Bliss – Travel Leaders advisors went above and beyond in supporting NCL through participation in hands-on learning and marketing efforts to foster consumer interests in Norwegian Bliss, the cruise line’s new 4,000-passenger ship that debuted in spring 2018.
Bonnie Lee, a Travel Leaders advisor in Albertville, MN was one of nearly 200 Travel Leaders Network advisors who sailed on the inaugural launch of the 20-deck Norwegian Bliss. Lee said the new Alaska-focused ship “elevates Norwegian Cruise Line for our clients. It is the perfect cruise because of the integration of peace and tranquility through special areas, such as the Haven, which are quiet and perfect for getting away from the world amid luxury, service, exclusivity and cuisine.”
